The Artist

Hi there and welcome to my little art shop! 

My name is Kristen, I am a self-taught artist specializing in watercolour painting. Based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 

I am usually a very private person so with great care let me share a little piece of me with you.

I have always been captivated by the wilderness and have a deep love for animals of every kind, both have been my biggest inspiration for my artwork. Ever since I can remember I have been creating art, for most of my childhood and early adolescence I focused largely on grapite and charcoal art pieces. Bridging over to learning watercolour painting in my teens, finally merging the two together to create the style I have now as an illustrative watercolour artist. 

I spent years as a healthcare worker, trying to help heal the world. Pursuing my art business as more of a hobby than believing I could make it my full time career. 

I look back at that little girl, creating her art, dreaming it could be something life-changing and special. Now I've decided to pursue my dream, not only for that little girl, but for my little family. I am a mother and a wife, I am determined to grow my business into something I can be proud of not only for myself but for them too. 

Filling the world with more creativity, bringing animals and the wilderness into your home through art would be my honour.
